Live Show at Ink Bomb (Saturday)

The cops have made their appearance at the convention the very first hour we started. They came prepared and long story short, the cops have let all of the artists know that they can not tattoo at the convention, anyone who decides to not listen to these rules, will be penalized. Due to this, a ot of people decided to leave, but the show still kept on going! Throughout the day, one performance after another kept this convention alive! Thank you to all who have performed, or attended our convention, did not go as planned, but we still had to keep the show going! Here are a few photos of the event throughout the day.

The first band to perform was "Bad Trip", awesome punk style sound started off the event right!

Next band to perform, "Street Guns"! If you like cool Rock and Roll and Rockabilly sound, you will love Korea's own Street Guns, check em out!

"Whatever That Means" rocked the show with their own kind of sound!

Good friends from the "Galaxy Express" came to perform at are event as well, This picture does not show how much the crowd liked this performance!

The crowd seemed to like that "Rux" came out to the convention as well. They rocked the show before the final two performances.

All the way from Japan, "The Spanish Barrow'In Guitar" had a show to play in Seoul the night before, came out today and did the same thing they did the previous night, they killed it!

All the way from Japan, just to make it to this convention and rock this show, we know "Guitar Wolf" would be killer, we put them towards the end of the line up.

Last but definitely not least, "Crying Nut"! We have been to many shows that Crying Nut has performed and we knew they would take the crowd as soon as the crowd hears their sound. Korea's own Crying Nut was the last Band to play at Ink Bomb Tattoo Convention.

The show is STILL not over, for our final performances, we had Aerial Silk and Hoop performance, and Whitelies gracing us of their presence! Thank you guys for performing!

WhiteLies Performance at Ink Bomb Tattoo Convention!

A lot of people have different opinions about tattoos, we all dont agree on the same things, but calling the cops on a tattoo convention that the Ink Bomb staff have been preparing for months ahead of time? That is definetely not cool. Whoever called the cops on our event, we are not mad, we are not pissed, we are going to learn and grow from this happening. The cops appearing at the show will not stop Boss Man Tenam from raising awareness about the Tattoo Culture in Korea, we will not stop fighting! TATTOOING IS NOT A CRIME, FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!!

FUCK THA POLICE

Once again, the cops have returned to ruin another Ink Bomb Event. As many of you may know, Ink Bomb has been canceled due to the presence of cops. The cops showed up ten minutes before the event started, they took a look around the event, and made the call that no tattoo machines and needles can be used at the event. Hearing that bearing news, a lot of tattoo artists decided it was pointless to be there for the artists there to tattoo. The convention continued on without "any tattooing going on". Many Tattoo artists were behind the convention slogan, "Fight For Your Rights", which simply means, fighting for our right to tattoo in Korea, so they just said fuck it and started tattooing! Here are some of the photos from the convention. Photos taken by Hyo-Shin.

The first few moments after the cops have arrived.

Everybody waiting for the cops to leave.

The cops might have stopped the tattooing, but that didnt stop anybody from having a good time! A shot of the crowd later that evening.

Though the cops have told all of the artists to not tattoo, or go to jail, here were the select few tattoo artists that wanted to show their chests!

Tattooing in Korea has never been Legal, but more than plenty agree that this should be last on the list of things Korea should be Illegal. How is it someone can alter their face to into a million cuts and implants to make them more "beautiful" and tattooing art on ones skin illegal? If cops and doctors would take a second and realize that Plastic Surgery is nothing like Tattooing, but all at the same time, it serves the same purpose. I am not saying tattooing should be in the same category as Plastic Surgery, but im trying to get the point across, that tattooing is a form of Art, from Artists. Ink Bomb being canceled and all doesnt concern us at Sunrat Tattoo, we will still keep on going til the day we die, and Boss Man Tenam is nowhere close to giving up as the cops hope he does. TATTOOING IS NOT A CRIME!! FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!
